I think Gherkin meant that as in it's morally wrong that they don't let you try the pedals in the store before buying, not that you are wrong and they do let you... silly duffer.

oh, mah bad
Thing was that Billy's don't sell anything Ibanez, so I could try a tube screamer....
Still not completely sure about it, but I may go with a BOSS MD-2.
It had the ranges of distortion I was looking for, and didn't sound too... fake.

Yeah, that's what I meant.

I mean seriously... If they don't, they're just going to lose business.

But anyway, I'll just leave you guys to talk about guitars now. :P

Here's what ya do... get in contact with their suppliers. Let them know that they do not allow you to demo their stock. You watch how quickly they change their tune. They'll either lose lines or be whipped back into shape by their reps.

After I said how serious I was, they went along with it. Good for them, too, they made a $350 sale. Ended up buying the BOSS OD-20.
Cant wait to get her home.

Thinking about buying new pickups for my Ibanez EX. Not a flashy guitar, but it sounds good enough.
I'm looking at getting Dimarzios, either Evolutions or Tone Zones, any recommendations?
Any ideas on where to get them cheap?

Tone Zones are killer. I got one for my bridge pick up in my Stratocaster.

Got a new toy (SansAmp), now I'm running-

MIM Fender Jazz with Seymour Duncan Basslines (humbucker on the bridge, normal Jazz style pick-up on the front) > SansAmp Programmable Bass Driver DI > Hartke HA3500 (bypassing the pre and just using it as a power-amp) > Lab Systems 410HLC cab.

Looking to add an Aphex Punch Factory or something once I get some more czash and also a decent tuner pedal.

Tone Zones are great for a rock sound, Evo are one of the best metal humbuckers out there IMO.
