formed in 2004

During the release of the first EP, TGATSO were a Melodic Hardcore four piece mainly influenced by bands like Converge and Conation. The music utilised a combination of blasts and chaos followed by abrupt changes to soft melodic intermissions.

After a few gigs they felt it neccessary to recruit Sam Vince from Up To Our Necks and they then became a 5 Piece. The influences changed a bit from then on drawing heavily on sludge bands like Isis and Neurosis, Crimethinc bands like The Spectacle and Catharsis, and last but not least crust bands like Tragedy & Schifosi. After enough songs were written ‘The Rains’ CD was recorded and released.

Then after a 4 month break they headed the way of the mighty ‘d-beat’. Before long another EP was ready to be released. Unfortunately it never surfaced though as the band wasn’t happy with the final product.

Then Jono went to the Navy, Aaron Quit, and Sam V quit before joining again just after Max took up bass guitar. Who knows what they sound like now…
